Finally Fall Book Tag- 2020

Hello my bookworms, it’s that time of year again, the leaves are slowly starting to turn, I can smell pumpkin spice in the air and am having a sudden urge to curl up under a fluffy blanket! So in honour of one of my favourite seasons, I thought it was high time I did another book tag. I have been really remiss in my blogging lately, and I am trying to get back into the habit (I know I say that all the time, but I mean it this time!). I have seen this tag around quite a bit, and it looked like the perfect one. Please share your answers with me in the comments, I love to see other people’s thoughts!

QUESTION 1 – In fall, the air is crisp and clear: Name a book with a vivid setting.

The House in the Cerulean Sea has beautiful world building, and it really made me feel like I was there, on the island looking out at the crystal waters! Not so much a fall themed setting, but definitely unforgettable.

QUESTION 2 – Nature is beautiful… but also dying: Name a book that is beautifully written, but also deals with a heavy topic like loss of grief.

This book starts out with a pretty tragic event right at the beginning and the characters spend the rest of the book dealing with the fallout, and it actually hit me way harder than I thought it would!

QUESTION 3 – Fall is back to school season: Share a non-fiction book that taught you something new.

I can’t say enough good things about this book! I love everything astronomy and this book really taught be things about astrophysics in an accessible and entertaining way, it’s also really short which is perfect for a travel read!

QUESTION 4 – In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love: Name a fictional family/household/friend-group that you’d like to be part of.

The Weasley’s hands down! Who wouldn’t want to live at the burrow, and have christmas time with this amazing family?!

QUESTION 5 – The colourful leaves are piling up on the ground: Show us a pile of fall coloured spines!

QUESTION 6 – Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside: Share a book wherein someone is telling a story.

This book was my favourite re-telling of A Thousand and One Nights by far! It is an amazing story, with tons of other amazing stories within it! I highly recommend this one.

QUESTION 7 – The nights are getting darker: Share a dark, creepy read.

This book has everything, ghosts, a snarky but lovable narrator, a golden trio friendship, girls who kick ass, I mean there really isn’t anything more you can ask for! It is a perfect read for the spooky season.

QUESTION 8 – The days are getting colder: Name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up somebody’s cold and rainy day.

I feel like I have mentioned this book in every single tag I have ever done! It has really stayed with me as such a fun read that really just puts a smile on your face. Maybe it’s because I’m a pretty big Geek myself, but something about this story just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

QUESTION 9 – Fall returns every year: Name an old favourite that you’d like to return to soon.

I need to get ready for book 4! I am excited to re read this series, it’s been a couple years since I have done a full re read so I am really looking forward to jumping back into this incredible world.

QUESTION 10 – Fall is the perfect time for cozy reading nights: Share your favourite cozy reading “accessories”!

OMG, I have this big sherpa reading pillow from UGG that I adore! I also always need a cup of tea and if it’s raining outside that’s the icing on the cake!

  1. Loved a lot of your picks! I still need to read the third book in the An Ember in the Ashes series, but I’M SO EXCITED FOR THE FOURTH BOOK! Also, a sherpa reading pillow sounds like the most perfect thing as the weather is getting colder! Thanks for the tag! ❤
