Are you ready for sweater weather? Tag!

Happy Wednesday bookworms, it’s finally getting cold here and I am actually really excited about it. Somehow it doesn’t feel like the holiday season if there isn’t frost in the morning and maybe even a little snow! I saw this tag over on the amazing Orang-utan Librarian  and I knew I had to do it. Please go check out the original post as well. This tag was created by Jenn over at Jenniely so please go check out her post as well. I tweaked some of the questions because they were more Halloween focused, and I wanted to be geared more towards the Christmas holiday season, this doesn’t mean I didn’t love the original questions, I just couldn’t help focusing on my all time favourite holiday!

HOT CHOCOLATE – WHAT IS YOUR COMFORT BOOK?

This answer might seem really weird, but I have to say Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. I love this book and I have lost count of how many times I have read it. For some reason it always cheers me up and gets me out of a reading slump.

PUMPKIN CARVING – WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CREATIVE OUTLET?

Definitely writing. I love to write but sadly I don’t have the time or patience to become an actual writer, though it has always been a dream of mine. I have been writing stories for as long as I can remember, all the way back to the Christmas stories I used to submit each year to my local newspaper competition!

FALLING LEAVES – A COVER CHANGE YOU SECRETLY LOVE?

I am going to say the Shattered Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima. I usually don’t like people on the cover of books but this just works and it is way prettier than the original.

PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE – A BOOK YOU LOVE THAT OTHER PEOPLE JUDGE?

This is a hard one… I think people have so many opinions about so many books that there is always someone who doesn’t like a book you love. I will go the opposite and say a book I don’t like that most people love which is The Hunger Games. I know, you’re all gasping in shock and confusion, I just liked the movies better (please don’t revoke my reader membership).

BONFIRE NIGHT – A BOOK THAT MAKES YOU EXPLODE WITH JOY?

This is so hard! I have so many… Alright, I will go with My Lady Jane. As I have said before, this book never ceases to make me laugh and smile, I highly recommend you read it!

SNOWY NIGHT – FAVOURITE COZY BOOK OR MOVIE?

I’m going to go with a movie for this answer and say Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. I just really love watching this movie in the winter, especially if it’s snowing outside, with a nice cup of tea. I honestly can’t tell you why, but it was the first one that popped into my head.

CHRISTMAS COOKIES – FAVOURITE FICTIONAL FEAST?

How could I not say Harry Potter? I have answered this question in many tags over the years and I think my answer will never change… I would give anything to spend my Holidays at Hogwarts!

SCARVES – YOUR AUTUMN ‘MUST HAVE’ ACCESSORY?

Can I say a scarf??? I love big, cozy, soft scarves that you can cocoon yourself into! Other than scarves maybe a nice coat? I love a cute coat, especially trench coats in the fall.

FIRE – A BOOK OR FILM THAT BURNS YOUR SOUL?

In a good way or a bad way lol? I am going to choose to interpret burn your soul as a good thing. This is also really hard, I think I will go with The Black Witch by Laurie Forest. I ADORE this book, and Laurie if you’re listening I would kill for an ARC of book 3! I hadn’t read such a good high fantasy is a long time, so this one definitely stuck with me.

TOFFEE APPLES – A BOOK OR FILM THAT SEEMS TO ONE THING BUT REALLY HAS A DIFFERENT INSIDE?

I feel like I have used the Loneliest Girl in the Universe way too much for these types of questions so I won’t this time. This might be such a cop out, but can I say The Lion King? I remember being so surprised when I found out it was literally Hamlet for kids!
