July Wrap-Up 2019

Happy end of the month my lovelies, no you aren’t dreaming, it really is the end of July, summer is already almost over before I really felt like it began! I haven’t done a wrap up in way too long, and unfortunately I didn’t chose the most exciting month to get back at it. This month has been crazy with work, I hav been so busy with my two jobs that I barely had time to read, let alone blog, so you will notice that my review section is a bit more sparse than I typically want it to be.

Books (and movies) Reviewed:

Spiderman: Far From Home 5/5 Stars

I LOVED this movie, it was an endearing, heartwarming, emotional and humorous epilogue for Avengers: Endgame, and Tom Holland continues to be my favourite version of Spiderman yet!

King of Scars 5/5 Stars

I ended up loving this book! Leigh Bardugo is a master when it comes to creating amazing new worlds and complex characters, and this continuation of her grishaverse was no exception.

Shadow & Flame 3/5 Stars

I enjoyed this book, but found it had a lot of issues with pacing that left me feeling a bit lost an confused, especially since it is the second in a duology. Overall, it was enjoyable but didn’t really live up to my (admittedly really high) expectations.

Awards and Tags:

The only Tag I did this month was the The Summer Bucket List Tag but I did do some book memes like Top Ten Tuesday and WWW Wednesday. I also started doing my own sort of meme, Book Question Wednesday where I ask you guys some bookish questions that have been on my mind.

  2. Happy blogversary. I took my kids to see Spiderman and the amount of people that left as the credits started rolling was amazing. Do they not understand the way Marvel works. They missed out on a big plot for the next movie by not waiting until the end.
