Hello my bookish polar bears (sorry watching Our Planet on Netflix and bears are on my mind). I was thinking about what post I wanted to do for today and I came across this super fun tag from Kirsty at The Bibliophile Girl. The tag was from a few years ago but that’s no reason I shouldn’t bring it back! Check out the original video from the creator here: EmmmaBooks. Now that that’s all out of the way let’s get started!
Rules:
- Choose a book that best fits each scenario

Totally should’ve… Gotten a sequel
Ok so this one has been bugging me for ages. I loved this book, it was a great and unique fantasy read, and it ended on a HUGE cliff-hanger. Then the publication date for book two arrived but it wasn’t published. At first the date just kept getting pushed back, then it said it would be published as an e-book in 2017. That is the last I have heard about the sequel, as far as I can tell the ebook was never released. I NEED closure on this series!!!
Totally should’ve… Had a spin-off series
This was a hard one, most of the series I would have said already have spin-offs or are in the process of getting one. I loved falling Kingdoms and the ending definitely set it up for a sequel series about the next generation of characters so I would like to see that.
An author who should… Totally write more books
It is no secret to anyone who reads my blog that I absolutely loved The Last Namsara. It was an incredible debut by Kristen Ciccarelli, and I am sure the next books in the series will be equally as engaging. I am excited to see what she comes up with next.
Totally should’ve… Ended differently
UGH ok I really like The Selection series, and the ending (though very predictable) was satisfying and adorable. The sequel duopoly about the main characters’ daughter was not as great. *SPOILER* I never got over that she ended up with the translator, it was so out of the blue, she should have ended up with her friend, they actually had chemistry. It felt like Cass was trying to make the ending unpredictable but just ended up disappointing me.
Totally should’ve… Had a movie franchise
I think this book would make a fantastic movie! The magic and romance would make for a very engaging story, and the backdrop of historic Russia would have provided some incredible visuals!
Totally should’ve… Had a tv series
I would LOVE to see this as a tv show!! I think it would be incredible, and with a spin off book about Ronan coming out soon there are tons of opportunities for the show to branch out a bit too.
Totally should’ve… Only had one point of view
This book ruined the entire series for me, and a big part of that was Four’s POV. I think Roth was too ambitious in including not only a dual POV but one that included opposite genders. I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between Tris and Four’s chapters, Four didn’t have any of his own personality or perspective to set him apart.
Totally should… Have a cover change
I will admit this is a very cool cover but it is just too busy for me. I think it could benefit from a speaker, simpler design.
Totally should’ve… Have kept the original covers
I can’t believe they did this… The original covers were beautiful, why on earth would you change them to that??? It doesn’t even suit the character it’s supposed to represent.
Totally should’ve… Stopped at one book
Ok please don’t yell at me… I just personally think that the first Hunger Games book told a full story. The other two books just felt kind of unnecessary. Oddly, I liked the movies better, and I think they did a good job of making me feel like there was more story to tell.
And that’s it folks! Let me know your thoughts on my selections in the comments, I always love to hear from you guys!

I completely agree about Four. I wasn’t a fan of him or that book. I also agree that the first Hunger Games book is the best in the series by far.

I haven’t read any of these. I like the look of this tag.

The only one I’ve read it Allegiant, I too wasn’t happy that the first two books were from one perspective, Tris and the last was duel but then I’m not sure how she could of ended it and still have Tris as the voice, that wouldn’t of worked.
