June Wrap-Up 2018

Holy smokes it’s time for another monthly wrap up! Is it just me or are the months going by faster and faster? I feel like I just blinked and June was over, though I feel that way every month so whose to say. Anyways we’re here for a monthly review not for my own existential crisis! June was a great reading month for me, I was able to fit in almost all of my planned reads and they were all actually very good reads, I don’t think I have had a bad book all month which is pretty amazing!

Books Reviewed:

Beyond A Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake 4/5 stars

I was lucky enough to get this book in my monthly Fairyloot box and I really enjoyed it. I was refreshing to read a stand-alone fantasy book, they are rare in the YA genre.

Onyx and Ivory by Mindee Arnett 4/5 stars

Another fantastic Fairyloot pick! I loved Mindee Arnett’s other series (Avalon) and this book did not disappoint, it was a thrilling high fantasy read.

Renegades by Marissa Meyer 5/5 stars

My only 5 star read of the month! I loved Renegades, and I was happily surprised by just how much I enjoyed it after I had been avoiding it due to all the hype it had been getting.

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro 3.5/5 stars

Probably my most disappointing read of the month, it was an enjoyable re-telling of Sherlock Holmes but all in all fell a little flat for me.

Geekerella by Ashley Poston (Review to come tomorrow)

Review is coming tomorrow I promise, I just wanted to include it in the wrap-up since it will technically still be posted in June!

  1. I have a goodreads TBR but I also have a lot of blog tours that I am lucky enough to do and often I take them on and read then within the same month. Your TBR is great
