Hey bookworms, it’s that time of month again, my favourite books re-imagined post! It’s coming a little later than usual this month because I have been very wrapped up in my exams and packing up since my semester in Scotland is sadly coming to an end. I am so happy that this post seems to be popular with you guys, and as always if you have any requests for books you want me to re-imagine I would always love to hear them, as well as any other thoughts you may have!
Please feel free to do this post as well, just remember to link back to me when you do so I can see all of your amazing re-imaginings.
Warning there may be a few spoilers ahead, but I have tried my best to keep them all at a minimum.
A New Perspective
Harry Potter through Luna Lovegood’s perspective
I love Luna, and even though she only first appears in the fifth book I still think reading things from her fun and quirky perspective would be amazing. She would bring something extra special to the story, and maybe even introduce us to some of the magical creatures she believes in so strongly!
A New World
Graceling in Modern day Europe
If you haven’t read Graceling I should preface this by explaining that it takes place in a fictional world where some people are born with special powers, and follows Katsa who has the power of enhanced fighting abilities and who has had to serve as the King’s executioner/assassin. I think this story in Modern Europe would be so much fun. I always wonder what high fantasies would be like if they played in our world and I think this one could be really cool.
A New Time
Cinderella in the future
I’m sure there already is some futuristic retelling of Cinderella but I just had to include it on the list. I love SciFi and I love fairytales so I think a combination of the two would be really fun. I know that Snow White already has a futuristic retelling and I think Cinderella should definitely get the same treatment.
What do you think of these re-imaginings? would you buy these new and improved (or worse) versions? let me know in the comments.
A futuristic Cinderella is still on my to-write list. I love the dystopian version of it in Cinder. A twist on a classic that just makes it that much more fun to read š

Great post! I absolutely adored Luna in the books and seeing things through her eyes would be such fun. Remember when she did the commentary for the Quiddich match?

Amazing Norees how I have never read a Harry Potter book nor seen a Harry Potter movie. Perhaps the last human on earth who can claim such terrible transgressions LOL. I look forward to diving in though. Thanks for sharing š

Aww, Harry Potter from Luna’s point of view would be so good and would be such a different take on similar events! Great post! š

I’d love to see the Harry Potter series from Luna’s POV – it would be so interesting. Think of all the new things we’d discover about the world!
